Position Overview
Cordia Fleet is seeking reliable CDL Drivers to transport heavy construction equipment, materials, and supplies between job sites, yards, and vendor locations throughout South Texas. This role is essential to keeping our construction operations running on schedule and demands a strong safety record and dependable work ethic.
Responsibilities
Transport heavy equipment, materials, and supplies using flatbed, lowboy, and dump trailers
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT regulations
Secure loads properly using chains, binders, and straps per FMCSA standards
Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and hours-of-service documentation
Coordinate with dispatch and project managers on delivery schedules
Assist with loading and unloading at job sites and staging yards
Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (MVR check required)
2+ years of CDL driving experience, heavy haul preferred
Experience transporting construction equipment on lowboy/flatbed trailers
Knowledge of DOT regulations, weight limits, and load securement
Tanker and HazMat endorsements a plus
Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and Saturdays
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, climb on and off trailers, secure heavy loads, and lift up to 70 lbs. Must pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
